Pilgrim Academy is an alternative day school
program which serves students from middle school through high school.
These students experience emotional and behavioral difficulties
and have had difficulty in typical school settings. The program
offers individual and small group academic instruction within a
therapeutic setting. Classroom instruction emphasizes basic skills
and curriculum is individualized to each student's achievement level.
A behavioral component, through which privileges are earned for
appropriate or improved behavior, also serves as an instructional
tool. Counseling services are provided to assist students with situational
and relational problems in school and are designed to supplement
more intensive therapy most students receive outside of school.
A six week summer component, designed to reinforce academic instruction,
is also offered.
