from Dr. Dympna M. Thomas,
It is with much enthusiasm that I begin my new role as the Executive Director of the Pilgrim Area Collaborative. I have spent my entire career in education as: Teacher, Professional Development Coordinator, Assistant Principal, Principal, Director of Special Education and Assistant Superintendent. I have worked diligently over the years to create supportive school, home, community learning environments focusing on the importance of the social, emotional and academic well-being of all students. I am eager and excited to continue this important work with the students, staff and families of the Pilgrim Area Collaborative Community.
PAC was established in 1976 and is a vibrant educational environment led by expert staff who bring daily dedication to servicing our students, our families and our districts. In our setting, each student is recognized and valued for the unique gifts and abilities they bring to our programs. Our prime objective at Pilgrim Area Collaborative is to provide individualized educational services to children ages 3-22 and to tap into each student’s inner strengths and expand those strengths to allow each student to reach their highest potential. We strongly believe that educating our students is not limited to the classroom setting, rather educating students means fostering connections between school, home, and the community.
Thank you to our supportive member and non-member districts, the Board of Directors, the parents/guardians, amazing students and extraordinary staff who make the Collaborative a very special place to learn.
