WHO ARE WE?
The Pilgrim Area Collaborative Parent-Staff Organization (PAC PSO) is a vibrant group of parents and PAC staff representatives who are interested in making our students’ educational lives at PAC the fullest and most dynamic experience possible.
WHAT DO WE DO?
During the school year, the PAC PSO works on fundraising to purchase staff requested equipment and materials and to support community experiences that help enhance Collaborative programs. Each year, the PSO grants over $2,000 to fund numerous staff/classroom grant requests. This school year, our fundraising efforts will include participation in Box Tops for Education and Amazon Smile. Enrollment information is attached.
One of the most important roles of the PSO is to bring students, families and staff together by organizing a variety of social activities and outings throughout the year. With over 130 students coming from over 30 different towns these experiences are vital to the culture of our school community. Recent events have included a Book Fair at Barnes & Nobel, Family Pizza and Bingo Night, Classroom Raffle Baskets and PAC’s Got Talent & Art Show. In addition, the PSO recognizes PAC staff annually by showing their appreciation during Education Appreciation Week in May and by providing goodies for the “End of the Year” staff meeting.
How can you become involved? There are many ways to support our students, programs and schools. If you are a parent, grandparent, guardian or PAC staff you can join the PSO, participate in monthly meetings, attend an event, or volunteer your time/talent! If you can’t volunteer, we hope to see you at one of our school year events! Specific dates/times and event details will be listed on the PAC website www.pilgrimac.org as well as sent home via email or in your child’s backpack.
Our fundraising efforts include our very popular gift basket raffles at family nights and participation in the following programs:
What is AmazonSmile?
AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon that lets customers enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as on Amazon.com. The difference is that when customers shop on AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate .5% of the price of eligible purchases to the Pilgrim Area Collaborative to benefit all classrooms and programs your child participates in.
How does AmazonSmile work?
When first visiting AmazonSmile go to http://smile.amazon.com/ch/04-2652690. You will be prompted to select a charitable organization from almost one million eligible organizations, be sure to choose Pilgrim Area Collaborative.
